Dr. Jeremy B. Green, a fellowship-trained and board-certified cosmetic dermatologist in Miami, is a distinguished professional with an outstanding academic background. Graduating Cum Laude from Princeton University, he earned his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Green served as Chief Resident at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery and pursued advanced fellowship training in laser and cosmetic surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, Massachusetts. Formerly an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami, she remains an active voluntary clinical Associate Professor, imparting her expertise in injection and laser techniques to residents and fellows. Dr. Kaufman is deeply involved in clinical research at the Skin Research Institute, where she serves as a Principal Investigator on multiple dermatology clinical trials, including FDA pivotal studies on neuromodulators, fillers, and aesthetic devices. A prominent figure in Cosmetic Dermatology, she has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on aesthetic technologies and techniques. Dr. Kaufman is also a consultant to companies developing innovations in the aesthetic market. Dr. Robert A. Weiss, MD, FAAD has served as President of three major dermatology and laser organizations and has served or is currently serving on Medical Advisory Boards of numerous companies in the aesthetic dermatology field including Allergan/Abbvie, Galderma, Cynosure, Lutronic, L’Oreal (skinceuticlas), BTL aesthetics, Alastin and many others. He is former Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and currently is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Maryland. His education included Columbia University, BA, Johns Hopkins U School of Medicine, MD and fellowship training in dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also sought additional fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health, Immunology Division. Besides serving as President of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Phlebology, he remains very active in teaching for ASDS, ASLMS, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Weiss has also served multiple years on the Board of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Weiss has been a featured speaker for the AAD, ASDS, and ASLMS for over 25 years, as well as speaking at many other national and international dermatology and cosmetic societies. He has received numerous international awards of recognition. A prolific author of over 150 peer reviewed articles and a dozen textbooks including “Vein Diagnosis & Treatment: A Comprehensive Approach,” published by McGraw-Hill, and “Cosmetic Dermatology.” Dr. Weiss has also served on the American Board of Dermatology, preparing questions for board certification of dermatologists. He is currently Fellowship Director of the ASDS cosmetic fellowship and mentors dermatology fellows in lasers, filler, botulinums and advanced vein treatments at the Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin and Vein Institute in Baltimore. Dr. Weiss also holds multiple patents for medical devices and biotechnologies. His expertise on cosmetic dermatology innovations has led to his appearances on TV shows such as “20/20” and “The Today Show.” Dr. Weiss has served as Assistant and Contributing Editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Dr. Weiss’ actively researches novel lasers and light sources for the treatment of photoaging, vascular lesions, and pigmented lesions as well as fillers and botulinum toxins. He has helped to develop new methods of non-invasive varicose vein treatments, such as endovenous ablation to replace stripping, and assisted with research leading to FDA clearance of newest methods of reversing photoaging by lasers and light sources. Terrence Keaney, MD, FAAD, of SkinDC just outside of Washington DC, is a pioneer and advocate for the “personalization” of dermatology. He recognizes the importance of customizing dermatology care based on the individual characteristics, needs, and preferences of his patients. The first step in personalization is a patient’s gender because of its influence on anatomy, skin function, and behavior. Whether treating hair loss, acne, rosacea, skin cancer, genital skin diseases, or skin aging, Dr. Keaney designs treatment for the patient’s skin and lifestyle. In order to provide tailored treatments, Dr. Keaney adopts the latest technology to assist in skin imaging and treatment. He utilizes the latest imaging software to quantify signs of aging and disease and then utilizes the cutting edge laser, light, and energy based technologies that provide superior results for both men and women. Graduating from the University of Virginia Medical School at the top of his class, Dr. Keaney was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) national medical honor society. His comprehensive dermatology training included a residency at the University of Miami, a clinical research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship in laser surgery. Dr. Keaney is currently Assistant Clinical Faculty of Dermatology at George Washington (GW) University and Howard University. He is also proud to serve our military veterans in his role as Director of the Laser and Lipoatrophy Clinic at the Washington DC VA hospital. He enjoys teaching and mentoring dermatology residents while directing the cosmetic dermatology curriculum for the GW Dermatology residency program. Dr. Keaney remains active in dermatologic research and education. Dr. Keaney focuses his research on how gender impacts aesthetic and dermatologic treatment. He has spearheaded studies in skincare, cosmetic injectables, and the latest laser technology. He has authored over 30 articles in the leading dermatology journals. Dr. Keaney’s expertise has earned him invitations to many dermatology and aesthetic conferences where he has delivered over 100 national and international lectures. Dr. Keaney is one of 20 Master Injectors where he teaches dermatologists from around the country the latest techniques in the use of Botox and Juvederm products. Margaret Weiss, MD attended Princeton University, earning her bachelor’s and medical degrees at Johns Hopkins. After her dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins, she served as an assistant professor in dermatology there for thirty years. She is currently a volunteer clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In 2016, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Board-certified, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She is a past president of the Maryland Dermatologic Society. Dr. Weiss lectures often, conducts clinical trials, and has over thirty publications including a textbook on leg vein treatment. Dr. Weiss practices in Baltimore, Maryland, where she and her husband Robert Weiss, MD established the Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin & Vein Institute. Her professional interests include sclerotherapy, cosmetic dermatology, and laser surgery. Dr. Weiss has Successfully Completed the 2016 AMFAST Program Dr. Weiss has been certified by the Allergan Medical Facial Aesthetics Speaker Training Program. Dr. Weiss completed the 2016 AMFAST program on July 8, 2016.
