Dr. Corey Hartman

Dermatology

Dr. Corey L. Hartman is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder and medical director of Skin Wellness Dermatology in Birmingham, Alabama. He also serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.


A native of New Orleans, Dr. Hartman earned a BA in Psychology from Emory University and his MD from Meharry Medical College. He completed an Internal Medicine internship at Tulane University Medical Center and a Dermatology residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.


Dr. Hartman has a special interest in dermatologic surgery, injectables, hair restoration, and laser dermatology. He has trained at UCLA and Howard University, gaining expertise in cosmetic procedures for all skin types. He is an Allergan Advanced Injector Trainer and a speaker for Skinceuticals and Scientis. He serves on advisory boards for Men’s Health Magazine, Allergan Aesthetics, Galderma Aesthetics, Revision Skin Care, and the Skin of Color Society.


Since 2016, Dr. Hartman has taught cosmetic dermatology to UAB third-year residents. He is actively involved in the Birmingham community through Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, the Oasis Counseling Center, and the Oakworth Capital Bank Central Alabama Advisory Board.


Dr. Hartman lives in Homewood with his wife, Dr. Erika B. Hartman, and their children. Outside the office, he enjoys tennis, traveling, exploring new cultures, and spending time with family and friends.
